Founder & Creative Director

Victoria Richard founded Visually Speaking in 2005 and serves as Creative Director, Project Manager and Visual Translator. She embraces the philosophy that when you have a sincere interest in your client’s needs and open rapport, great things emerge. One of Victoria’s strongest skill sets is being a Creative Partner, helping to support the abstract, and build “what could be.” She accomplishes this by embracing the analytical side of projects with a focus on research and discovery. Projects are managed through organization and follow through, to build “what could be” into reality. An eternal optimist, Victoria can stay within the lines as needed, but loves pushing the perimeter with ambitious partners.

Prior to forming Visually Speaking, Victoria was on staff at North Oaks Health System as the Print and Production Coordinator (#creativedirector). She and her staff were responsible for regional campaigns with multimedia components including newspaper/magazine ads, radio/TV commercials, billboards and print material. Other duties included production of long-format videos, overseeing department budgets and annual employee evaluations.

Victoria also served as Creative Director at Neill Corporation. As part of the executive team and responsible for all design work, she and her staff developed show brochures, newsletters, logos and multimedia presentations for regional/national audiences.

Kayla Wernet

Kayla Wernet

Creative Partner

Kayla Wernet serves as a Creative Partner for Visually Speaking. In this role, she conceptualizes, designs and develops graphics to communicate client messages and enhance visual brand identity across media platforms including print and digital. She works individually and collaboratively with the Vispeak team to determine customer needs and project specifications. She is responsible for creating print and electronic graphic elements, designs and layouts based on client goals and objectives (e.g., logos, brochures, presentations, signage, web graphics, ads, etc.).

Kayla’s experience includes more than 16 years in graphic design. Prior to joining Visually Speaking, she worked for Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum as an in-house designer, and in the newspaper industry for The Advocate, where she was responsible for designing advertising and marketing materials for local and national clients. She also interned with a screen-print production company in north Louisiana.

Kayla earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was an active board member of Phi Mu Sorority.
